I loved this wedding so much. Naomi & Keiran created a wonderful wedding day, a family focused celebration at Harefield Barn, where the intention of spending time and sharing the joy with their nearest and dearest was felt throughout the day. This was my first time visiting for some Harefield Barn wedding photography, and it did not disappoint. Ever since Harefield opened it's doors I've been desperate to visit, only being based in Exeter myself it's a local venue to me, and I'd only heard great things!
I started my morning with Naomi and her sisters getting ready in the barn itself. This blog post however will start with the wedding cake, which Naomi made herself in the two days leading up to her big day. I've seen wedding cakes created by family before, but never the bride herself and it was stunning. Decorated in the style of a rock face which her and Kieran are climbing.
Harefield Barn Wedding Day
It was perfect conditions for an outside ceremony, which included their own personal vows, which is always a nice touch. With the ceremony complete we had fun with confetti through the wild flowers and the lawn games begun. We carved out some time to get some family portraits under the shade of the tree, with family travelling across from Germany it was nice to get everyone together.
Before we knew it it was time for speeches, which were sweet and funny in equal measure. With the sun still shinning we took the opportunity to pop across the fields for some portraits, and we got a little greedy because after a lovely first dance we took a couple minutes in the field for some late evening shots as we got a little colour in the clouds. About The Wedding Venue
Harefield Barn is a gorgeous barn wedding venue in south Devon, just a 15 minute drive from Exeter. It's the definition of a blank canvas for couples to stamp their own personality on their wedding day. With both inside and outside option for the ceremony you can have faith that no matter the weather you can hold a great wedding day, the barn itself having stunning panoramic windows giving plenty of light. With Deborah and Robert running the show you couldn't ask for a nice bunch to run this family run venue. Deborah (featured in the falling Jenga moment) herself previously working as a registrar they have a ton of experience in the industry. With the capacity to hold 150 guests couples have a great deal of flexibility for their wedding day.
