This was my first time as a wedding photographer Devon at the unique Barn At Barons Hill Farm, and what a wedding it was. Tucked away in the countryside of South Hams, Devon, Rosie and Ben truly added their unique style to their wedding day, including collecting and prepping the floral arrangement months in advance.
Starting at Rosie's mum's house, it was a chilled laughter filled start to the day. It was my first sight of the wonderful VW van that Rosie would be using to travel to Baron's Hill Farm.
Barn Wedding At Barons Hill Farm
The Barn At Baron's Hill Farm is pretty much a blank canvas to design a wedding day. Rosie and Ben opted for the outside option to hold their ceremony. The VW van pulled up to the farm, dark green being the running colour theme with the bridesmaid's dresses and suits matching the van. Rosie snuck her way down the pathway to see Ben waiting at the end of the aisle. It was a wonderful ceremony, and afterwards guests enjoyed canapés and games in the courtyard, homemade of course.
We popped off for a quick walk around the gardens for some portraits before retuning for some truly brilliant speeches. I've seen a lot of speeches and it's always nice to keep an ear out whilst looking for the image. Rosie's sister delivered her speech in the form of a spoken letter, which I'd never seen before, and it was great.
Rosie changed into a new dress for the evening, the barn was converted into a dance floor, and what a fun night it was. Kingstatic were the band, and they created a great atmosphere to dance the night away, air guitar included 😉
