Every so often the stars align with the photography, the wedding day and couple, and this is exactly that. Emily and Chris planned a wonderful wedding at Polhawn Fort in Cornwall, and it was an absolute joy to photograph from morning to night. You couldn't ask for a nicer pair, surrounded by a wonderful bunch of friends and family.
I started my morning on the cliff tops with the drone, because for this wedding day I would be adding something a little new to the gallery. Along with photographing the big day I would also make a highlight wedding video (below). After liasing with the fantastic Laura (Kept Weddings), the coordinator extraordinaire, I made my way to Emily and Chris for preparations. The drink was flowing and with laughter heard throughout the back rooms of Polhawn Fort as guests arrived outside.

The weather was being a little fickle, but managed to hold the ceremony outside with the stunning backdrop that Polhawn Fort has to offer. A growing, and welcome, trend in the world of weddings is having a friend conduct the ceremony, which always provides a personal touch. As the rain picked up as confetti poured guests enjoyed drinks and golf in the gardens.
We were off to the fort itself for speeches, which provided great laughs and maybe a tear or two. Come the evening we popped down to the nearby beach for some portraits. Maybe the highlight of the day was the spectular first dance that Emily & Chris worked so hard on. I've not seen anything like it before, and was the perfect scene to capture in both phot and film.
