Harbour Hotel Wedding Photography
Sarah & Adam

One sunny September Saturday, I headed down to the water for Sarah & Adam’s lovely day. Despite having worked as a Salcombe wedding photographer a few times now, this was my first visit for some Harbour Hotel Salcombe wedding photography. With incredible, panoramic views along the estuary, it’s an absolutely spectacular space for couples to get wed with zero fuss.
Wedding photographer at Harbour Hotel
Sarah, Adam, and most of their guests made the big trip from the north of England to enjoy a beautiful weekend on the Devon coast. As a documentary photographer, you always get a good workout at a Salcombe wedding! Because it’s such a popular coastal spot, parking can be limited. So, having parked the car up the hill, it was time to walk the 500 steps down to the hotel with all my gear strapped to me whatever way I could.
Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready in one of the boutique hotel rooms upstairs, while Adam and the rest of the wedding party enjoyed a relaxed drink along the terrace. The ceremony, beautifully conducted by a close friend, was lovely and filled with honest emotion.
Afterward, guests enjoyed canapés on the front deck accompanied by live saxophone music. We quickly popped over to the private terrace to get some natural, unposed family shots before taking a stroll.
Exploring the town and a packed dance floor
I really enjoyed our short walk through the heart of town to get some relaxed couple portraits, with passing tourists shouting out their congratulations along the narrow streets.
The absolute highlight for me, though, was the incredible dance floor action later that evening. Everyone joined in, singing their hearts out to some great music, and at one point, guests even picked Adam up to throw him into the air! Here’s a little selection of Sarah & Adam’s natural Harbour Hotel wedding photography…

About The Wedding Venue
The Harbour Hotel Salcombe is an idyllic wedding venue along the South Devon Coast. It features a stunning boutique setup with floor-to-ceiling views stretching along the estuary. The Marine Room, featured here for Sarah & Adam’s ceremony, is the main event space which has a capacity for 120 people. Guests can enjoy drinks on the private outdoor terrace, which also provides a great backdrop for relaxed photos.
As a Salcombe wedding photographer, I’ve had the good fortune of visiting Salcombe many times and always excited to visit the Harbour Hotel for some wedding photography. The flowers featured here were provided by the talented Twig Salcombe, and the decor was done by the lovely Laura Louise Hall Weddings. The make up artist, Make Up By Jordan, did a great job in the morning and the stunning cake was made and decorated by Queen Bee Cakes.
