Summer Wedding At Polhawn Fort

Absolute wedding perfection! I couldn’t have asked for a nicer couple in a more beautiful location. I was so excited when A & L got in touch about their big day, and it did not disappoint! The colour, the atmosphere, the music, even the weather was all on point,

I started my morning with the drone in the air, because I also made a highlight film for the day. What’s unique at Polhawn is having the preparation rooms right next door to each other, so I was bouncing between rooms capturing the getting ready moments, watching the rain pass us by before it was time for the outside ceremony.

The ceremony was simply perfect. With the aqua blue backdrop and a Robbie Williams sing along included, the guests had lots to enjoy. Gemma, of Planning Elegance, quickly turned the ceremony spot into the wedding breakfast as guests enjoyed drinks, corn hole and limbo in the neighbouring garden.

The speeches were a particular highlight, with something I’ve never seen before. During the day guests were placing votes on an infamous football challenge, which just so happened to involve A & L, with video replays available. The losing vote would consulate with a shot at the end, you can tell by the reaction below who won.

We had the perfect conditions to pop down to the beach for some portraits before making our way inside for a great dance floor to see out the night. I drove home a very happy photographer indeed.
