Summer Wedding at Upton Barn
Judith & Daniel
Towards the beginning of wedding season I returned to the always fantastic Upton Barn for Judith & Daniel's wedding. They weren't messing around either, planning the entire day within 6 months, and they absolutely nailed it. It was the perfect day. A relaxed black tie wedding with sunshine and garden games ending the night with a hip hop ceilidh. Yep, that's a first for me too!
Black Tie Wedding
My day started with bridal prep, but this time I got to visit the latest addition to Upton Barn which was the newly built paddock. Perfectly placed to get ready for the wedding, with ample space and a view of the guests arriving.
It was early summer and the sun was shining. Perfect conditions for the walled garden. I can't think of another venue in Devon that provides so much space for the ceremony, and provides so many options for photo angles. I dove into the arbour to get those more intimate moments during the vows, which made for some of my favourite shots of the day.
Guests enjoyed canapés with music and we got some family photos in the nearby grounds. The speeches in the stable barn were a lot of fun, and as the sun dipped with took a walk around the grounds for some portraits. We later popped out in blue hour to get something a little different in the arbour. It was a beautiful day, and a joy to photograph, here's some of my favourites from the day...
