Summer Wedding at Deer Park

It was so good to return to Deer Park Country House to photograph Charlotte and Alex’s wedding day. This should have been in 2020, but we all now what happened there, so it was summer 2021 when Charlotte & Alex tied the knot. It may have been the hottest day of the year, and what a wedding it was! I’ve been lucky to photograph lots of weddings at Deer Park, and you can see more of my Deer Park Wedding Photography.

The Wedding Day

After booking I met Charlotte & Alex back in 2019 for a pre-weding shoot. A wonderful sunrise shoot on one of their visits to Devon at a hidden beach, with the plan to re-connect for the big day one year-ish later. With a slight change of plans I drove to Deer Park Country House one year on in beaming sunshine, which provided some great summer vibes to the wedding day (which may or may not have required a fresh set of clothes for me after the speeches once the temperature dropped a tad!).

I started with bridal prep at The Playhouse, with the ceremony being held outside (a first for me). It was a beautiful ceremony accompanied by some wonderful acoustic guitar. With drinks in the walled garden and speeches in the orangery the day went by in a flash. This was at a time when we were easing out of lockdown, which over the year gave some opportunities to get some photos I couldn’t otherwise. As a result the first dance was held outside, which was so much fun to capture.

We were treated to some spectacular fireworks and had some fun on the dance floor to see the out the evening, it was so nice to hear live music again after such a long time! Here’s a selection from Charlotte & Alex’s Deer Park Country House wedding…
