Last weekend I headed into the middle of Devon for Jo and Rob’s wedding day. I won’t be the only photographer stating that it was the hottest wedding of the year so far, and likely will remain that way!

I started the day at Jo’s mum’s house in Uplowman, which is the basis of the below photo. Nearing close to the ceremony time Jo gave gifts to her bridesmaids and her mum, which turned into this embrace. This for me is the key kind of image of a wedding day. This was about the forth of fifth shot in this sequence, adjusting the frame to compliment the moment each time. Trying to avoid distractions and add depth to the photo.

The day went on with a real village community vibe, holding the reception at the local village hall with children everywhere enjoying the sunshine. Blog to follow soon with the whole story…
