DIY Wedding in Devon
Jo & Rob
A few weeks back, you may remember the heat wave we had here in Devon. A week of glorious sunshine with temperatures reaching 30c. Well, I remember it well, because it started on a Saturday, to be more specific, Jo and Rob’s wedding day! As a wedding photographer Devon it’s a joy to discover new locations in my favourite county!
The wedding was held in the village of Sampford Peverell, near Uplowman, in Devon. Starting at Jo’s Mum’s house, with the ceremony in the local church and the reception in the village hall, it had a real community vibe to the whole day. As such, Jo and Rob had a blank canvas to create their wedding day.
Devon is booming right now with wedding venues, it seems every 6 months there’s a new manor house or barn available to hire. Which is great, providing plenty of options for engaged couples out there. It is lovely though to photograph a wedding which is close to the hearts of the bride, the groom and the guests.
So with kids filling the church aisle to see the ceremony, hay bales, space hoppers and beaming sunshine all day long, it’s fair to say I had a great day capturing this amazing wedding day…
