Custom House Wedding in Plymouth

What feels like a lifetime ago, a little before lockdown took place, I was heading west along the A30, to Custom House in Plymouth for Mina & Pete's wedding day. This was my first time as a wedding photographer at Custom House, in fact it was the first ever wedding ceremony at Custom House but somewhere I've always wanted to photograph as a wedding photographer devon. Already a great event space, including wedding receptions, it was a pleasure to be photographing the first ceremony.
My day started at the Barbican for the ceremony. What was a little different about this day for me was that I didn't start with the wedding preparations. That's because Mina and I have a mutual friend, Amy, who is also a wedding photographer and would be a guest at the wedding.

Custom House has an amazing event space for the ceremony, which then turns into the reception area, big windows with lots of space, perfect for wedding photographers. It was a lovely ceremony, a great way to launch wedding ceremonies at Custom House, with bubbles along the aisle to celebrate Mina and Pete becoming Husband and Wife.
With gusts enjoying their drinks downstairs, we popped out to the Barbican for some family photos and a quick portrait or two before returning for some hilarious speeches. Being early spring the night come in quickly, and the band (The Busketeers) got the dance floor moving. It was a fantastic wedding day, and a potentially great conclusion to my 2020 wedding season!
