Wedding Photographer Cullompton
St Andrews Church Wedding, Devon
This was my first visit as a wedding photographer at St Andrews Church in Cullompton, and what a wonderful wedding it was! The added touch was that this wedding at St Andrews Church was the first to take place after the Coronavirus lockdown. On the 4th July Bethany & Jonathan got married on the first possible day after the change to lockdown guidelines which allowed weddings to take place, at the time it was 30 people allowed within the church.
Cullompton Wedding at St Andrews Church
So after months of concern that they could not get married, Bethany & Jonathan held out and managed to have their wedding at St Andrews Church. It was a wonderful ceremony, so unique because of the changes made to follow the guidelines, including a livestream for guests to witness the ceremony from home plus provide the signing of the hymns.
What’s wonderful about smaller weddings, something that I do every year, is that it’s obvious how much the wedding means to the couple. Although I was aware of the unique elements to the day, with people social distancing for example, it was so easy to fall into the day and witness a wonderful wedding day. It was a warm summer’s day and so we took advantage of a nearby public walkway for some portraits.
This was my first time back photographing weddings after lockdown, it was four months being told I couldn’t work (which I was in total agreement with), so it was so good to get back to photographing weddings and this day in Cullompton was the perfect way to restart the wedding season!
Here’s a small selection from their wedding day. If you’re getting married and looking for a photographer, please do get in touch.
