Cornwall Beach Wedding Venues
Top 6 Wedding Venues on Cornwall Beach
If you’re local to Cornwall, or simply travelling down for the big day, Cornwall is famous for its stunning coastline and as such has a great selection of wedding venues along its beaches. This a the top six wedding venues on a Cornwall beach, each offering something a little different.
I’m a wedding photographer and the below images are of weddings I’ve had the joy of photographing, and had personal experience at each of these Cornish venues.
Found in St Agnus, Driftwood Spars has so much going for it. Ceremony and reception can all be in one location and guests can stay in the nearby accommodation. The cliff top garden is a great spot for enjoying drinks with guests, but my favourite thing about Driftwood Spars is the stunning cliff top views. A short walk along the coastal path provides wonderful views and a wedding photographer’s dream location for images that last a lifetime!
I was lucky to be the first photographer to capture a wedding at Tregullas Farm, a lovely hand fasting ceremony in the rustic barn. The wedding reception, in part, was held at Lizard Point near the lighthouse at the YHA. The benefit of this set up was to have that coastal feeling with a truly unique wedding breakfast in the courtyard. Click here to see the full Lizard Point wedding.
Lusty Glaze Beach
Ah, how much I love weddings at Lusty Glaze! Situated near Newquay it’s likely that this isn’t the first time Lusty Glaze has appeared on your research for a Cornwall beach wedding. There’s a good reaosn for that, it’s a beautiful wedding venue designed for couples who want to have fun and celebrate the night away with the beach to themselves!
Cape Cornwall is a famous beauty spot for walkers and beach goers, with its rugged coastline and lighthouse. A short walk away is Cape Cornwall Golf Centre which has a fantastic barn like reception room that holds the ceremony and wedding breakfast. For couples who want the ease and access to full wedding venue facilities with the views and walks to a beautiful coastline, this is a great option.
This is my ‘out there’ pitch. Launcells Barton isn’t on the beach, but is not far off from Bude and is a stunning venue. It’s a secluded venue surrounded by beautiful landscapes and a short drive along the country lanes gives great access to nearby fields and beaches if you fancy an explore for those wedding portraits.
St Ives has plenty of wedding venue choices, my pick would be Porthwidden Cafe. Not the weddings with 150 guests, but a quaint cafe right on the beach front. Ideal for couples and guests who want to make a full wedding weekend of it in St Ives and have a true beach front wedding venue with fantastic food.
