Buckland House Wedding / Ceren & Chris

I'm going to briefly commandeer this blog post before I go on to the amazing wedding of Ceren and Chris to point out a couple of things...

No. 1, because of a little website update, I'm now able to show a lot more images in a blog post compared to before, which means I don't fill the blog page with one set of images and squash all previous content, a long awaited update and I hope you enjoy the extra photos!

No. 2, this was my first wedding after my little hiatus for the arrival of our second daughter. I couldn't have asked for a nicer bunch of people to work with, making it the perfect return to this hectic game, so to the bridesmaids, groomsmen and of course the bride and groom, thank you!

So what do I say about this wedding? Joyous, fun, relaxed, are just some of the words that come to mind.

This was my second time as wedding photographer at Buckland House, a manor house in mid-Devon that was hired for the weekend, for friends and family to stay in and make a full weekend for people travelling far and wide to see Ceren and Chris get married.

Just down the corridor from each other Ceren and Chris got ready for the ceremony at the adjacent church, and the theme in both rooms was music. It was a theme for the whole day in fact, as the tables were named after styles of music and guests signed their best wishes on old records, a great idea!

After a lovely ceremony and the longest confetti line I've ever photographed it was off to the marquee for the speeches. It's fair to say that Ceren got a rough ride here compared to Chris, breaking normal tradition. The best men (yep, two of 'em) were quite kind indeed. But both bride and groom had some photos displayed for everyone else's amusement, Chris' even making an appearance on the dance floor later in the night.

I have to give a shout out to Katie of Fringe Photography, based in London, one of the bridesmaids for the day. Not only was Katie the one to find me and recommend me (an honour in itself) she also borrowed my second camera and got some alternative shots of the bouquet throw, as seen below, so thanks twice over!

I could go on and on, I probably have already! But here are some of my favourites from the day plus Ceren and Chris' lovely comments...

"Oh my goodness!! Thank you so much for our photos they are amazingYou really captured the day, everyone looks like they had a brilliant time especially me and Chris. These are something we will always look back on and cherish."
