A few Saturday's ago I made the short drive to Tedburn St Mary, just outside of Exeter. It was to cover the fantastic wedding of Emma and Josh. It just happened to fall within that wonderful two week spell of sunshine in April.
Starting at the house to cover some preparations it was hard to remember that Emma was the focus of the photos and not her beautiful baby daughter Iris. After a short stay it was off to the church where Josh was waiting in good spirits with the majority of the guests.
The Parish Church in Tedburn is a great space to hold a wedding ceremony. A classic church of arch ceilings and stain glass windows, with a direct route from entrance to alter. I managed to capture Emma at the doorway about to make her was in, and along her entrance down the aisle see every kind of emotion from nervous to excited to happy and teary.
In bright sunshine the guests made their way outside after the ceremony to congratulate the newlyweds and then make their way to Fingle Glen, just ten minutes down the road. It was here everyone would tuck into their meals, see the speeches and enjoy their evening. The speeches were perfect. A blend of caring and hilarious moments, I guess what ever wedding speech should aim for!
