2015 has almost come to its conclusion, with that comes a series of 'best of' posts from photographers and the like. But as predictable as that is, I find it a very useful process. Taking the time to go through your images after a busy year, evaluating your work whilst making plans for 2016.
What a year it has been. I've been extremely fortunate to work with some fantastic couples at some great locations. It doesn't seem fair to label this my 'job'. It's hard work, yes, and constantly challenging (in a good way), but it's so much fun as well. Being trusted to capture such a significant day in someone's life is humbling and appreciated in equal measure.
I've been all over the South West, covering all different types of weddings. If you're familiar with my work you'll know I focus on documenting the day, not posing people. With that you capture the theme/feel of the wedding day. I look at the above images and get instant memories of that day, and the emotion and joy that it brings with it.
2016 is looking fantastic, and looking forward to it immensely. The winter often provides less bookings to work on, but more time to plan and work on some personal projects. There's one more wedding for 2015, on NYE no less, which will be a new experience! More photos and posts to follow...
